The Benefits of Music for Children

Through experiencing stimulating musical tuition, your child also develops many other life skills. The outcomes are not just musical; they are developing in a responsive learning atmosphere which prepares them for future learning

The Program uses strategies first developed by early childhood music pioneers Zoltan Kodaly and Carl Orff.

Songs and activities have been enhanced to incorporate specifically designed movements which provide input into the muscles and joints to support attention focus and regulation, by requiring the brain to engage many areas of the brain simultaneously.

Observable outcomes will be your child’s recognition of high and low sounds (pitch), long and short sounds (rhythm), changes in tone (timbre or tone colour) and phrasing (form). They will also develop aural skills (listening attentively) and experience physical coordination by keeping a steady beat and moving with music, while also using their singing voice and experimenting with percussion (body and instrumental).

It allows every child to celebrate their own abilities at all stages of learning and instils in them an appreciation of the joy of music!

We look forward to sharing the joy of making music with your children!
